I didn't know this, I'll see who can organise, I want nothing to do with liquid telecom at this point. If I use my proton vpn (south africa point) I can get 80/40 but I dont want to live on a vpn because my own ISP cant sort out a problem.
Moving is just a pain with notice and orders and I dont...
@Afrigirl @AfriGuy @AfriNatic
I dealt with support and it was discovered that my international routing if using liquid teleco is completely broken (5mbits up max), this is a problem to the level of needing to cancel with afrihost if its not sorted out because I cannot have internet this way...
After a few hours on whatsapp of many tests it got escalated to openserve. Liquidtelecom are doing some very weird routing. Will see what happens there.
Edit: When you get a response in email support saying the reason that getting 3mbit upload internationally is "Because the packets have...
I am getting the typical Afrihost Support Experience (Bad)
They blaming the speedtest.net servers at this point and asking me to return a traceroute to their ip's (which of course are not published by speedtest).
Multiple countries worth of speedtest.net server results are apparently not good...
Has anyone been experiencing incredibly poor international upload rates on Openserve ?
Have no problem getting 100/100 on local but I'm lucky if I get 10 up on international.
Hello
As subject says, as a Air Mobile customer MTN's 135 number or 083 135 number, goes "Welcome to Afrihost"
I ported over to Air Mobile 2 months or so ago yet MTN is still billing me, (I even receive statements from them saying R0 owed), considering the only way MTN will settle account...
My feedback then would be clarifying this and something just honest for filler "Our agent is looking into your issue" type message, there's nothing worse when facing a problem to add communication to the struggle, transparency over feigned attention goes a long way.
Hi
(I realise I made some Me/Afrihost errors in the beginning of the quote so I've updated it and read it a second time, my apologise there).
There is no contextual awareness to what is already said, the flow of the question went like this.
In my opening line I gave that a technician had come...
I'm very much doubting the "Your WhatsApp Helper (who you can rest assured is a trained and friendly real-life human) is getting lined up and will help you out as soon as they can."
It seems like either your support is malfunctioning or there's part automation part human, here's the transcript...
Not getting packet loss but VPN DBN -> DBN Via JHB not longer works (mobile data is fine).
Whatever fix you guys did basically killed my ability to connect to work.
I've been fine for almost a week and now back to 100/100 , wouldve been sometime in the last few days, I dont exactly speedtest daily and it would be nice to have a ISP that can continuously give me the speed I pay for without me having to reboot my router, this is absolutely ridiculous.
Edit...
Double Posting
Support got back to me but by the time I could follow the instructions my speed had dropped back down to 100mbps (it had been stably 200 for 12 hours or so then dropped down again), the instructions being the usual restart, connect pc direct, visit a activate url (Where I got the...
