    You will have to invest in a proper inverter and small battery bank to keep a fridge on. Will also need to be a newish fridge with good A+ ratings. A 3 kva should manage. The battery backup will be the costly bit but we'll worth it in the long run. See it as an investment in healthy blood...

    No mention of proper inverters which start at around R5000. I have had many UPS units for pc protection. Never lasts long. A small inverter will keep your pc and router running and charge your phone for loadshedding periods. Will also keep a light on with your TV. They come in boxes on wheels so...
