    I was told that thatch is a lot heavier than tiles so didn't think that supporting the tiles could be an issue.

    Hi everyone. I have just purchased a double storey thatch house in durban. The house is 680 mtr2 in total. I would like to remove the thatch and gumpoles and replace it with new trusses and tiles. Some of the walls will need to be built up higher to change the pitch as currently some gumpoles...
