@CoolEscalator Anything up with the ipv6 radius servers for Openserve in JHB?
I updated my routers firmware and kept getting no AUTH, after about an hour I swapped back to the ipv4/.co details and that dials with no issue.
Do you guys ban devices for repeated pppoe connection requests?
My Mikrotik seems to be buggy and kernel fails and reboots when you max the upload bandwidth
I've tried another router and dialling up through a PC and not getting any connection , I can however see the CISP bng on a pppoe scan
With yearly increases becoming the norm, speed increases stagnating and more and more FNO's getting rid of their customer facing support, I thought I'd air some of my FNO horror stories to check if I live in a bubble.
My FNO interactions over the years:
Vuma - The OLT/PoP in my area received a...
I'm still having daily full international dropouts here on Vuma Trenched JHB
I've been A/B testing with myself being on the Madrid CISP VPN and my brother on Native CISP in the same match in the same game and he disconnects while I don't, So I'm convinced that its not a CISP international issue...
I had about 2 on Saturday between 2-4pm and 1 on Sunday around 8-8:30pm, I'll try get some exact times as its been happening almost daily, and its only for about 10-20 sec so my smokeping doesnt pick it up
Also I haven't been using the Madrid or UK VPN so that isn't the issue ( Windows PPTP...
I forgot to mention I'm on Vuma Trenched in JHB
Could it be the NLD to Cape Town?. Local doesn't drop for me , and over a local VPN that uses Liquid, international is fine.
Here's a trace I managed to get when it dropped
Anyone else been having International dropouts this past week?
I've been having atleast 1-2 a day since Tuesday. Its incredibly annoying to lose 30-40min of progress in a game to a dropout
Not quite, if you hit escape and change character and relog, you'll see it then. Every interaction with your character or the game world is through to those servers in Seattle, so any loss and you'll mostly feel it in changing gear or delay in feedback. This game is client-sided with hit reg...
Just tested UKVPN and I'm not seeing the same issues I do on default CISP transit, but since it uses our local CISP DNS , the hairpin when playing with other South Africans is insane.
So I'm guessing its Orange thats being wonky here, since the VPN dosent use it?
Heres all the IP ranges...
From about 6pm till 9pm
You'll notice the issues when changing characters/gear as you'll see a contacting Destiny 2 servers banner 9/10 times
Aswell as packet loss error codes that they refer to such as Baboon, Weasel and Bee
Hope this helps a bit and thanks for giving it a look
Will the new Lisbon POP enable us to peer at AMS-IX?
I've been having an issue with a game(Destiny 2), with constant dissconnects and general sluggishness with the games API in general when using my CISP connection. Its not too bad in the afternoon, but as we approach peak times its virtually...
Anyone else seeing lower than average International speeds + 1-2% loss?. Its been on and off for about the last 2 weeks and usually starts in peak times. I've done IPerfs to make sure it not FNO congestion on Vumatels side.
