    I tried getting a vehicle history report based on the licence plate but nothing came up. Just wondering if I should consider at all or move on. Would it make sense to do the AA dekra test and get the guy to do a roadworthy first or just not worth it at all.

    These are wise words. Hard to find in a car that old though. I was specifically looking for the older shape - the newer ones are easy enough to find in good condition with decently low mileage. I'm happy to spend some money on repairs and maintenance but obviously I don't want to be replacing...

    Full service history available and last service was 4000k ago. I'm awaiting the service book since it was not in the car at the time. Fuel pump was recently replaced but probably not with genuine audi pump. I took a test drive and everything seems fine but I'm no mechanic or fundi.
