So I finally got a rep on WhatsApp. They reset my line, which resulted in everything being dead. Switching to Google DNS sorted that, though, and now I have full speed again until the next cockup. Here's hoping it doesn't come.
Well yeah, if others are having the same issue then I'm sure congestion is way down for you. Must be nice.
Edit: just reconnected, but as far as international is concerned I'm now on a 1mb line.

If you mean connecting to the router via LAN cable, *that is how I always connect* and it baffles me that you folks always assume it's a wi-fi issue. Got a response from your support guys this morning with "Afrihost's top 5 ways to speed up your wi-fi!" attached. Completely useless to me. Oh...
Eh, I'm just on edge because there's been no response from Afrihost's reps here and SA companies have a habit of taking the example of someone being fine and twisting it around to "our other customers are okay, this is an issue with your side, not our responsibility to fix". I'm sure you can see...
You've got multiple people in the same area reporting the same problem and you're... advising checking the router.
Are you sure you don't work for Afrihost support?
