I've got a 100/100Mbps MyBroadband app is only registering between 0-16Mbps on my phone (Samsung S20+) over both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands on my router. If I test it with Speedtest.net or the Vumatel endpoint to test the speed before ISP handover it gets between 100 and 120Mbps down and up.
I quit smoking more than 10 years ago and won't go back but this ban is idiotic. Only way it makes any sense is if some ministers are getting their pockets lined nicely from kickbacks for the illicit cigarette trade industry booming.
2017 Ford Focus RS. Bought it because I had a 2 door 2008 Fiesta ST and girlfriend (now wife) said I should think long term and get a 4 door family car with a bigger boot and that could take a baby seat. I felt I met all those requirements by buying the RS. Been smiling ever since.
This is in Glenhaven, Cape Town on Vox Fibre with Vumatel as the fibre provider. For some reason the MyBroadband app only registers around 50Mbps DL speed but using any other app/site to run the test shows 90-100Mbps
Not sure about Afrihost but from previous experience when I got my fibre line and router through Vumatel and Vox it was initially locked down in the sense that they don't give you the admin login credentials for the router. However all I needed to do to get access was to email their support and...
