Replacing old Camry with new Etios - Comparative design life, build quality?

Old one aircon didn't work. New one, turbo was making a funny sound, and was very underpowered. That's from what I recall.

Replacing old Camry with new Etios - Comparative design life, build quality?

Looks are subjective. The Etios isn't a bad looking car - the narrow wheels brings it down. Got a set of 17s on mine and it looks great. I've driven lots of budget rentals and the Sandero was by far the worst of them all. There was always something that didn't seem right with the car. Never...

Replacing old Camry with new Etios - Comparative design life, build quality?

The Etios is cheaply made but isn't as fragile as some make it out to be. The engine is good, and is the same as the one used in the new Yaris, but detuned. Got it as a second car and very happy with it. If you wanna talk POS, then Renault Sandero is the one.

    Need GTi Advice Please

You seem to want a performance car, so where does the NP200 come in? If I were you I'd rather go for something sporty but with less reliability risks, like a Toyota 86 or Suzuki Swift Sport.

Maintenance Plan vs Service Plan vs Savings

Yep, good decision. IMO, maintenance plan is not needed for the first 90k's. Service plan and warranty should do unless the car is heavy on brakes. Even so it would be cheaper to pay cash for what's needed than the initial cost of the plan.

Toyota Yaris only one reverse light

My wife has the 2011 T3 Plus model and it has 2 reverse lights. The previous model (2007 we had) had one reverse light and a rear fog light on the other side. With the 2011 model, they did away with the one rear fog and made both reverse. So if you have just 1 reverse, there should be a rear...

    most reliable cars over 200,000km

ABS came out on the 20V RSI and some 180i models from 1997. The last of the RXIs in 2002 had airbags.

    Huawei P8 & P8 Lite - Reviews, tips & tricks

Loving the P8. Best value for money. My only gripe is that the numerical keys don't appear on the keyboard unless you click to open the 2nd set of keys. My S4 had all on the same screen.

    2017 Toyota Corolla

Looks great. Like the current shape but this is way better. Guess the engines will be same though. Wish there was a 1.2T/ 1.4T or the 1.4 d4d had a few more CC's.

    focus indicator advice needed

Try buying the bulbs from the agents. I always thought the ones at Midas/ Autozone would work the same but the license plate bulbs on my Corolla kept blowing (replaced 2 or 3 times). So much so that I thought the car had an electrical fault. Eventually I tried one from Toyota, and it never blew...

    The Toyota Hilux Thread

The upgrade to the Hilux is much bigger than the Ranger, & much more anticipated, given the current one has been around for 10 odd years with some cosmetic changes along the way, & given the no. of hiluxes around as compared to Rangers. I guess time will tell. But IMO, Ford should enjoy their...

    The Toyota Hilux Thread

That' because the Hilux sales have dropped, in anticipation of the new model. Who would buy an outgoing model ...unless they're getting a really good deal? The new Ranger with its Ecosport type front looks worse than the current one, so IMO, it's sales will drop.

    Car Services - Jhb

Stay away from Bosch - I've used them twice so far at 2 different dealerships and had bad experiences on both occasions. Both are now no longer part of the franchise - probably due to the complaints. Also stay away from Motolube, Automate and all those franchises that offer major services at...
