    if you have a second car, its fairly easy to just swap cars for one day per week, top up the BEV via solar (and no batteries/Eskom)....and bobs your uncle. Not a big challenge to commute on an 8kW inverter setup.

    the big issue for us is the extra import tax still in place for new energy vehicles. while that stays there we wont have proper cheap EV options.

    a bit of your opinion in there. But Samsung caters for exactly that which is what you prefer and bought. For myself I aim to get the best camera I can in a phone which is what I bought. no ego or top trump whatevers in there.

    I am also pro-BEV... but why will the ICE have 5 times more CO2 emissions just because the car carries an extra 200 or 300kg of electricism?
