Here with an updated. Shop has tested and checked and as I thought the inverter is absolutely perfect. So it is definitely my psu that's not happy with it or just not a good brand etc. I've found a evga 850w 80 plus gold moduler psu on special that should arrive this week and will install that...

The fact that everything ran fine on the inverter when the power was off including my pc, but the psu made a buzzing is starting to push me more into thinking my psu needs changing not the inverter. Otherwise things would not have worked at all if it was the inverter!?

Just dropped it off to be checked quick. Guy at the shop said they had a problem with theirs on Monday after our outage on Sunday, had bad surges on the lines and when he check they had burn marks on the inside of the plus on the inverter. So he is going to just check but it's still under...

I'm removing the surge plug and will put it from the socket to the inverter and run a normal plug on the inverter output. Once that's done I'll do...

It's a 5 month old pc I built, Gygabyte 750w 80 plus gold and is active PFC, 5600x cpu, 32Gb ram and a 1070 so it should only be pulled low watts anyway. I'll remove the surge plug as I had no idea (oops) it is plugged into the outlets on the inverter. (out of interest what does it do/cause?)

Hi all. Some advice needed please. I bought a mecer 1440w inverter and 2x 100ah batteries about a month ago. Not really needed it much recently but have tested it a few times by turning the plug off at the wall and all worked great. On Sunday eskom decided they needed to work on our lines and...
