    Do you think restaurants should be allowed to sell alcohol?

    Definitely yes. Don't punish a nation for the irresponsibility and bad behaviour of a minority of drinkers. Police and punish those who don't have the maturity, self respect or responsibility to drink without getting drunk and if they end up at hospital send them to the back of the queue.
