They have fibre in the university . But university of limpopo has about 65% of students staying at off campus residences.. Those students rely on very slow and expensive (R330 to R450 for 2mb/s) wireless broadband providers for WiFi/Internet. Fibre to this residences would change the game here.
This is a waste of infrastructure. There are already about 3 to 4 other fibre providers in the same area.
The should have taken the fibre to the university of limpopo at mankweng. Currently they are using wireless broadband. Fibre was going to be a game changer there.
