    Escom blames the need to increase power prices on the escalating price of export grade coal. All the power stations in South Africa were designed to work on the lowest grade coal available, basically what couldn't be sold anywhere else, which costs around 1/15th the price of export grade coal.

    Do you tip petrol attendants?

    At my local garage, they wash all the windows even if I only put R200 in. I tip them R10, same as car guards at the mall, so long as they push the trolley and pack away the grocers. They are usually able to break a 50 if I haven't got change.
