We're with VOX for fibre and SwitchTel for phone lines - and yes, Switch Telecom are good. For a small business their hosted PBX is a great solution and very customisable via their client zone.

I was online last night and this morning without issue, but as soon business hours came, I struggled to get on.
Can't comment on latency as I am in Durban, however Vox on international download/upload speeds has always been great for me. I've had experience with several different ISP's on fibre connections and can definitely say that Vox is one of the best with this.
I've been with Vox for the past year now and was in 2016/2017, with many other ISP's in between.
Of all of them, I've found the quality of internet has been the best on Vox, especially on international links.

It's just a thought, but it could be that you have a faster connection on MTN, so it streams on a higher quality than Telkom. I would imagine that this would be more influential with video streaming now days though.
