DC Blue Garage Door Not opening completely when connected to battery

Hi All, Just an update. After the recommendations of the battery not being fully charged, I left it plugged in for 2 more days to build up charge. The garage is now working perfectly without any issues! So the battery definitely wasn't fully charged initially and just needed extra time. I...

DC Blue Garage Door Not opening completely when connected to battery

I left the battery to charge for 2 days so I would assume it's fully charged. I unfortunately don't have a multimeter so cannot test that or if the voltage drops. But that is a good starting point so let me get my hands on a multimeter to test and report back here

DC Blue Garage Door Not opening completely when connected to battery

Hi, I have a DC Blue Advanced roll up motor for my garage door. I never had a backup battery connected but recently bought a 24V 3.5AH lithium battery. I connected to the motor and when trying to open the garage it opens for a few centimeters and then stops and beeps. I tried resetting the...

Buying a used Lexus in South Africa - 2011 LEXUS IS 250 ES or EX

Yes iridium plugs will last you a lot longer then 10 000km's. As long as you see them burning clean and no carbon build on them, they good to go. Also only using 95 petrol helps keeping them burning clean.

I must say I'm really enjoying the car. I've done about 25000km's thus far and the care is going absolutely smooth. The only thing which I replaced were the rear drive shafts. It's a common problem on the car where they start leaking oil. Mine weren't too bad but I had a warranty at that time...

Buying a used Lexus in South Africa - 2011 LEXUS IS 250 ES or EX

Bumping this thread and glad it's still going. I still have my Lexus is250 and loving it. I have my 180k service coming up which means I need to change spark plugs. These cars use the platinum spark plugs and costs around 8k from the dealership. Are there any other good quality replacement plugs...

Buying a used Lexus in South Africa - 2011 LEXUS IS 250 ES or EX

Thanks @helkern , I confirmed yesterday that the correct size for these cars are SMF39. The SMF39 is a high surge battery which is required for these cars. The 639 will work as well but is not high surge and will not last as long. Did some pricing around and Lexus is the cheapest. They quoted...

Buying a used Lexus in South Africa - 2011 LEXUS IS 250 ES or EX

Hi Guys, So looks like my battery might be giving up. I got it on charge at the moment and I'll see if that will make a difference. Also planning on taking it to battery center the weekend to get tested. Any idea what size battery the is250 uses?
