    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

I totally understand it's a dilemma you have to resolve, but unfortunately for you, that is your problem to solve. :) From my side as a customer it's fairly simple. Who can offer me the best service for my needs? It sounds like you're saying Afrihost simply can't offer a competitive service...

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

Wa wa wee wah! 156ms! @AfriNatic figure that out, and figure out how your customers can also enjoy that latency, and then you'll have a good case against the gamer community to join Afrihost. Thanks @CrypticZA :)

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

Could someone on Cisp in Cape Town ping that server(35.156.63.252) and post the results here?

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

If you can improve my pings to frankfurt AWS by 50ms, then you've got a happy remaining customer. I'm not entirely sure how you would investigate that though, as traffic to AWS ECS instances jump through many hops that just time out. A trace route to one of the apparent Frankfurt AWS instances...

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

Let me reiterate though, I've had a great experience with Afrihost so far. Their client page is easy to use and navigate (better than CISP in my opinion). Their support has generally been great, and they always respond in good time. The only reason I'm running to CISP is because CISP simply...

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

@AfriNatic it's less of a feeling and more of a "here are the facts" kind of issue. I experience 200ms pings to Pubg with you due to the poorer routing to the EU on Afrihost vs CISP. I used a vpn to improve my pings which dropped my pings by 20ms using WarpVPN, but that just costs me extra. Cisp...

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

Yes. About 50ms difference between my Afrihost connection to Pubg, and my folks CISP connection. I get 200ms on Afrihost. My folks get 150ms on CISP. This is not the first time I've moved to CISP for the same reason. Back when I was living with my folks we were on WebAfrica, and on the same...

    Cool ideas vs Afrihost

My experience with Afrihost has been great. Good stable internet, and slightly cheaper than Cool Ideas, their support has been decent and timely via WhatsApp. That being said, I am busy migrating to CISP to enjoy their far superior routing and gaming latencies on EU servers.

    Best ISP for fiber?

Perhaps if you tell us what you didn't like about your WebAfrica experience, we could provide a more informative suggestion on a new ISP.

    Please Rate Webafrica

Ah man. I just bit the bullet, forked out for the clawback amount, and forewent the rest of my months fiber with WebAfrica to move to CoolIdeas. Seriously was the best thing I've done. My internet has been so reliable since I've moved. Best thing is my international latencies, which are...

Webafrica's Useless Fibre keeps downgrading speed

Yep, WebAfrica are well known to just close tickets without resolving them. Pretty terrible support all round. I've cancelled my service with them due to lack of support and that the performance of my line is unusable during peak hours for gaming.

    Web Africa

I'm facing problems on WebAfrica every evening. My 50mbit line drops to around 4mbits up and down. My latencies to www.webafrica.co.za jump to over 150ms. I pinged WebAfrica with a support ticket, and they responded by telling me there were still problems with Frogfoot, and promptly closed my...
