    Well not really. But it just does not seem viable to do it on an Ipad. What it would need is a 30" (2560x1600 i think) screen crammed into 9.7"? Wont happen at least for 2 years. 1920x1080 will only be 227 PPi on the Ipad

    lol to get a "retina" display on the Ipad it will have to be over 1920x1080 to get the right PPI.

    I am in the same situation. But i can get friends to send it over as a gift. Can even say its from my sister since its her birthday soon. So i am going that route.

    how much will I have to pay at customs for an ipad?

    I am so confused. lol So a 64Gb Ipad costs $700 from the Apple Store. Now is that with US tax? Do i still have to pay for US tax if i get it sent over here? Then i pay 30% of the $700? Or is it 30% of R5460 ($700 x 7.8 (Dollar Rand exchange rate)) Then i pay SA vat? lol I am going wrong...
