Cloudflare is nice for DNS as well. You can always point records at different servers.

It was an issue with unbound. Ran updates earlier in the day but something went awry.
libunbound was at libunbound-1.25.2-r1 and unbound-daemon unbound-daemon-1.25.1-r1 so there was a version mismatch.
Was not an issue with the line.
