Ideally I'd love to try a different wifi card - I have been seeing some problems lately with my computer - USB power not being enough, things like that, not sure if it's the motherboard or the PSU.
But yeah, Tenda seemed to suit me better for whatever reason, though it's good to know a lot of...
Have tested both bands. 2.4GHz works a lot better.
And channel looks good according to Wifi Analyzer & the Huawei app. No UPS.
Not sure why it's happening. But I know from often keeping an eye on Task manager that it was better before so it will be easier to switch back.
Router is already set to max in wifi settings. I tried downloading the app now and remove interference was greyed out, preumably it isn't seeing any.
I wonder if it's a case of the router being very new tech and my PCI wifi card being older tech and they not talking very well to each other? I...
I was on 100/100 HC with the Tenda router and it was going pretty well. I thought for the price I'd like to upgarde to 200/200, which necessitated a new router - the Huawei WS5200.
Now my transfer speeds are much worse than before (on wifi).
a) I know that ideally I'd be using ethernet, but...
This is my tenant in Sherwood Park, Cape Town.
0.02Mbps down!
He has been struggling for a while, but terrible recently.
He is using my B593. Would it help to give him my B315 instead?

Sorry - my mistake, I hadn't listed the model in my first post, I thought AC1200 was the model, but now I've looked up what that means.
I also wanted to ask about international speeds - I was getting 2Mbps to London and now 5-15Mbps (down). I don't know what is common amongst other providers...
The specs for the router listed online do list the LAN and WAN ports as 100Mbps (https://www.tendacn.com/en/product/specification/AC6.html) and HC Support seem to think that too.
I just upgraded to 200/200 on HC (Octotel - Claremont)
My speedtests are around 90Mbps local (and 5-10 to UK and 2 to US).
This makes me think they only have me on 100/100 - or is it normal to only get 90 on a 200 line?)
I am using wifi - Tenda AC1200, 5GHz connecting at 780Mbps - which makes...
