    Well yes, thats what I want to use it for. Old games will run off my 2TB SSD External, while newer games will run off the internal storage and the expansion card.

    No need to be an ass, I was checking the news article, not reading this thread for every single update. Regardless my point still stands, similar attacks have occurred this year already. Who knows why Cool Ideas is getting targeted, maybe South Africa has been highlighted as a easy attack...

    Not 500Gbit, 300-350Gbit at peak. There have been a number of recorded DDOS attacks this year that have been larger. But this is indeed a very large attack.

    Correct, but ISPs do differ in how fast they can mitigate attacks. I have no idea how Cool Ideas stacks up against Afrihost/Vox/Others in this department.

    Hardly, recent DDOS attacks have clocked in at over 500 hours. That being said, 30 hours downtime over a weekend is getting excessive. I think it's the longest amount of time I have had disrupted connectivity (that's not related to a cable fault) since I started paying for my own internet 15...

    Most peculiar, I switched to Axxess then back to Cool Ideas and now its mostly fine again. Around 149ms or so, just spiking quite a lot. But much better then before.
