    The school had not notified closure and we live relatively close by. In hindsight had I known what it was going to be like I would have kept them home.

    Good call - had to 4x4 over countless tree branches, a few small lakes and a downed power line just to get kids to school. Out of class of 50 only 10 had made it in for my youngest - considering the conditions there was unnecessary risk this morning so i am grateful they called it.

    hahaha - definitely not (3 woman in my life is enough) Friend of mine invited us on a hike with group 2 years ago; now we see them all the time socially. CT gets a bad rep for people being clique and that it's hard to make friends - this is a small example of 1 single activity interaction ended...

    Great advice. Wife and a joined a hiking group (quite unplanned) - ended up doing the Otter Trail and planning Fish River Canyon for next year. Group has become very social having braais / games night / we even went to Madame Zingara. Simple activities can lead to good friendships.
