It's got nothing to do with VERBOTEN, no idea where your delicate eyes got that from. It's entirely around adhering to the EU's laws. The EU's laws require companies to specify execs who are responsible for certain things. Lonnie's fired most of his execs, and the others have resigned, so there...
Agreed on all of those points, except that NASA doesn't care about colonising Mars, that's Elon's goal. So NASA isn't going to push for any developments towards that goal, they're more interested in going back to the moon etc. So SpaceX's focus is gonna be on whatever they've got a contract for...
SpaceX will get to mars in 200 years time.
It's been almost 7 years since he claimed that within about 2 years, Teslas would be able to drive themselves across the country with no driver on board
Instead, 7 years later, there's still no completely autonomous driving, but rather more and more...
Ironic that despite ending remote work for all of his employees, he is working remotely for Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and Boring.
"Working". He's not even working at Twitter though, there's no way he's actually able to pay attention to running that company either even if he sleeps in the office...
If he runs SpaceX the way he runs Twitter then you'd have to be insane to trust him to carry out colonisation of Mars. You'd be insane to trust him with pretty much anything at this point.
He moved from a blue to a red state
He made a tweet to all of his followers encouraging them to vote republican
He cheered the "red wave"
He often strays from the verified circle-jerk club to respond to random arb tweets from random arb twerps, but they pretty much all tend to be rightwing...
Also got fired as CEO of PayPal for trying to force them to switch their backend over from Unix to Windows, because since Windows is used for gaming its better than Unix.
But there are 1200 "microservices"! What do they do? He doesn't know! He just wants to shut them down! Click, click, click, shut down the "microservices"!
The employee found out he was fired by reading Elon's tweet, and being locked out of his work laptop a few hours later.
Elon was too busy ^5'ing Kyle Rittenhouse to bother finding out how Twitter works before he dumped on the architecture.
Valid point but the boss of a company should never get into a public spat disparaging the work of his employees in front of his potential customers and partners
