Openserve - Lowest Latency Options ? Gaming

So quick update. Openserve gent was able to come to site at lunch time. He found the ONT was a very old device. It was using a mirror connection which is apparently a very old tech. He also said the Yellow cable my Fibre had was an old spec and known to give issues. And they replaced the...

Ok, So Chat answered my question. Normal Fibre Signal Ranges Signal Level (dBm) Status 0 to -15 dBm Excellent -15 to -20 dBm Good -20 to -25 dBm Acceptable -25 to -28 dBm Weak / Borderline < -28 dBm Too weak / Unstable Your signal at -28.24 dBm is right on the edge or just...

Thank you. That sounds promising like there may be something. What may I ask is the Range that things are normal at ? If -28.24dBm is slightly abnormal ? Where is considered a good range and what is considered a range where problems may start ?

BTW. CoolIdeas just call just now. We will try again to do some testing. They suggested that I may need to increase the size of the MTU. Also that they will do a MDR test ... I think that is what they said.

I know, thus I am looking at them. I probably should have worded it better. I just meant that although they are good from their ratings they seem to have different options in Cpt that we don't get here. (Backend) - I have to use Openserve or Vumatel here. Possibly Backend may be the problem...

Openserve - Lowest Latency Options ? Gaming

Hi there, I have again logged a call this morning. It's not that they are not being helpful. They always are. Last time we did port recreates etc. Something though just isn't right. I am not trying to bash Cool Idea's. I am trying to see what is recommended as the best low latency...

Hi Guys, My area in Jhb Fourways only supports either Vumatel & Openserve. Maybe I am being unfair but when I check DownDetector often I have seen Vumatel down and not Openservre. Based on that I assume Openserve is the more stable backbone. I am currently with CoolIdea's\Openserve. I don't...
