    Got a Pace floater for my pool but the dip stick says I have enough chlorine now but keeps on telling me to add Alkalinity Up. If I must add that everyday it can become very expensive. What should I do?

    I am a beginner but I have heard.... Summer time when you use the pool alot plus the sun chows your chlorine... the chlorine will disappear quicker. You will probably have to buy a floater every 2 weeks. The other guys on here will be able to give you advice on what else to add.

    Was able to vacuum my pool yesterday. Refilled it using my JoJo tank. Haven't cleaned my JoJo tank for a while. Found black algae where I had the hose pipe in the deep end step. What should I do or add?

    Thank you, Mobus! Will use test strips this evening and add more chlorine if needed. I will buy some Blu52 Active Algaecide at the end of the month. Just want to give the water enough time to get rid of the Zap It Algaecide.

    Has not been on filter setting. When I initially added the flocc, I had the pump on recirculate/bypass for 8 - 10 hours. Then I had the pump off for 24 hrs to allow the gunk to settle to the bottom (because of the flocc). So when the guy said he can't come to vacuum. I used the test strips...

    Thank you so much Mobus!!! Went straight outside. Took the base plate off my weir basket (left weir basket in skimmer with a small weight so it doesn't move). It was like magic. No more foam just a few bubbles here and there. Still got the pool on circulate/bypass. Going to put off pump at 6pm...

    I've seen on Google that adding white vinegar and baking soda might speed up the process (of getting rid of the foam). Not sure if it's a good idea though.

    Thank you. I brushed the sides this morning. Waited an hour. Then put pump on filter. There is a bit of foam. Might still be building up.

    Unfortunately I don't have a photo. No the foam stayed the same after adding floc. The foam only disappeared after putting pool pump off. I am putting the pool pump on this morning. And I am almost certain it will foam again. I will take a photo.
