    out of interest, you plug your devices into the inverter. in the Event of Load-shedding there is a power dip. Are the devices protected, do they experience the power dip or do the devices continue running and the inverter kicks in using the battery power?

    It all comes down to the quality of the Battery. There are batteries with a 10 - 15 year life cycle, however they would be more expensive.
