Yes, it is possible to switch directly to the stream. I have it configured that way.
Go to Settings -> PVR & Live TV -> Guide -> Default select action. Then select "Switch to channel"
That should then work immediately.
I get the same pop up when watching BBC Lifestyle. However, it only happens when there is an ad break, and after the first ad ends. I then have to stop the channel and re-open it for the screen to disappear and for the channel to continue working.
This is on my Android box with Kodi 19...
Thanks for the tip. I gave it a go and the DSTV page loads up. However I am not able to select the "Sign In" button with my remote. Any chance you had the same issue and know of a way to resolve?
Thanks
Free standing properties are difficult to find, and the ones you find are super expensive. As the island is so small, all the apartments look very much stacked together, however from my experience, that can be deceiving. The apartment I stay in and the the apartments of other people I know are...

I'm in Malta and using NordVPN as well. However, mine is working fine in both Kodi and the Android apps. It's possible that the specific South Africa server you are using has been blocked by DStv. Can you try and choose a different server and see if that works?
There is the option of PlayOn, but that requires an additional subscription fee. Never used it myself, but it's been around for years and therefore should work well.
