    Apologies, I was not defending him or his actions. It is still dumb to make statements like those in the workplace even if it is done tongue in cheek. I just have to wonder aboutpeople getting butthurt only when it suites their agenda.

    I'm willing to bet the guy doesn't even have a dog and said it all as he thought it would be funny. Similar to how racial stereotypes are used for humour. Then some people got butthurt and he got fired.
