    Yeah, exactly. Ours said she was very happy with the pay and that she can rest a bit and thanked us for the job and support at difficult times .. not even week later we get a call.

    I am absorbing it. Just trying to understand why not go with truth. It can be subjective (from parent point of view) and emotional. But she was dismissed (fired) and NOT retrenched, when you fire someone you've got to have a good reason for it, not just I don't want you anymore, that's unfair...

    Nah, not really. We did not register her for the UIF, no excuses there .. not sure how it slipped trough the cracks at the time. Obviously can’t be rectified, so we will just have to admit the guilt on that part and pay the penalties.
