    Thanks, yep. Luckily, not a large amount, it's more the principle that annoys me. Most of my recent Ali orders have arrived via courier, which is not ideal for smaller items. Some things I'm willing to wait for.

    Yep, I'm assuming they've attached the wrong invoice to the box. It was definitely not the supplier's intention to under declare, it was simply a mix up and now I'm paying the price for their mistake.

    Basically. They're saying the supplier has underdeclared, which carries a R750 penalty. I did send the correct one, and even had to send bank statements proving the amount I've paid. It's no use arguing with them.

    R750 penalty, R520 VAT, R260 clearance, R300 duties, and then VATon top of some of those, plus "disbursements". I don't even know how they came to R520 for the VAT, but I'm not going to query it, I just want my parcel.

    Looks like it. The invoice was generated and sent to me, then I've asked if they could change the colour of the item, which they did and generated a $0 invoice with 100% discount. I'm assuming that's what was attached to the parcel.

    So a mess up on the supplier's side ended up with Aramex sending me an invoice for R1900 including penalties on a R1500 purchase. Eina.
