Agreed good point.
Think we can also focus our conditioning work more on power development than absolute strength year round.
Just look on YouTube the way the ABs spend their their time in the Gym and then we can see why most their forwards are more explosive than our backline players.
Then...
Good post.
I think skills is a major problem. If you look at the Currie cup now compared to 10years ago it's just shocking.
I think loosing 300+ players to Europe is our biggest concern. If we could get just 50 players back we would see a major difference. Imagine having 12+ extra quality...
Dire times for the springboks. Can't see why Alistair shouldn't be called back to account after Jake White was called back after losing to England at Twickenham. Just crazy. Madness
Anyway we're playing England 4 times next year. Let's judge this team on that series. We probably won't beat the ABs but we need to start beating teams in the top 5.
I'm sure most supporters will agree that a 2-2 series record against England would be non-negotiable since three of the games...
So next year we can say the same thing and post the 2017 team since this hasn't been a successful year anyway.
Let's look at the rest of the games this year:
My opinion
All blacks - win - jk
Ireland - lose
Italy - win
France - defining game of the season.
Currie Cup has been terrible this year.. almost like a bunch of of schoolboys. Terrible handling and defense.
Think it's on the same level as the Vodacom Cup of about 7 years ago.
Pro 14 has been great imo.
