    Was a smooth operation until it was not. Water quality killed it off eventually (heat exchangers, pipes, cooling tower). You need a small water treatment/HVAC set up to treat water as it is cycled. SA specific problem tbh

    Yeah - the choise of oil would have contributed massively. For my setup I ended up importing 800L of special immersion oil. Bitcool was too expensive, and lacked local support tbh. Importing the oil itself was a ballache of note with licenses, finding a business to import/handle it, etc. The...

    Coastal area I am assuming? Moisture is the enemy of mining. Up in Gauteng we don't run into these problems. Once rust/corrosion gets into the hashboards below the heatsinks it becomes a pain

    That's the obvious choice, but I am seeing quite a bit of interest in IceRiver's new Aleo AL2 720 which is launching later this month on the zkSnark algo. I take it you aren't mining any more?

    Anyone on here who could comment about "beneficiaries" of the ponzi having to pay back? Caught a glimpse of the news article in which the ZAR value of the seized BTC was "guestimated" vs how much is still left after all the legal fees. Pure madness.
