    Yeah. I've had hard water (>270 mg/l of CaCO3) since the house was built 5 years ago and not run into any pipe problems yet Lots of scaling of showerheads, taps, shower screens etc but it takes many years for the pipes to get blocked. Also, once you start running soft water again it slowly...

    It's been a while, and a struggle, and a couple of medication changes, and I'm now on a new prescription of Wegovy at 7.2mg per week. Massive milestone today. I don't know when last I was in double figures.

    It does build up in pipes, but quite slowly. It's a lot worse for things like your geyser element, kettle and other appliances that heat water.
