Openserve seems to be having a large outage in Pretoria. My connection went down at exactly 00:00:58. That timestamp tells me that it was planned maintenance that turned into unplanned downtime.
Currently running Home Assistant (including AdGuard Home) on a Raspberri Pi 5 with a microSD card as the main storage. I'm just waiting for the card to fail. A Synology NAS would be much more reliable, and provide much more storage.
I could also then use it for long term logging data storage...
This is the type of massive mistake I expect I'm making.
The confusing this is that this is apparently:
"The SEER rating is calculated by dividing the total number of BTUs (British Thermal Units) of heat removed from the air by the total amount of energy required by the air conditioner in...
Indeed, I've already accounted for this. I've had good insulation installed on top of already thick rhinolite ceilings. I'm also going to install UV tint all windows and sliding folding doors before installing the aircons.
Hi,
According to Wikipedia's page for SEER (Seasonal energy efficiency ratio), the US requires a SEER between 11.7 and 14.3 (depending on region and system size).
I know this isn't the US, but those are the absolute minimums required for new installations, so I would expect that at least some...
The following is also now confirmed working:
- Headphone jack
- Microphone
- Camera
I also got Wayland working (exactly how is off topic, but I'll expand if someone wants me to). From brief playing around it seems much less "laggy" / prone to tearing than X11.
So far I can recommend this...
Fait criticism, guess it's just a old habbit from the Ubuntu days. Serious question, what would you suggest as an alternative, maybe KDE?
Seems off topic, but isn't really. I've noticed that the graphics seems laggy and prone to tearing when using hybrid graphics. I suspect the iGPU frames are...
I received the laptop today, and so far:
- Arch installed
- Wifi works
- LAN works
- Bluetooth works
- Audio works (internal, haven't tested jacks)
- Display and external display via HDMI works (struggling to get Wayland to work, but this is normal for Nvidia graphics cards. Currently running...
True, but I don't think 100W (the limit of USB-C charging) is enough to sustain most day to day uses. So at best I believe it'll slow down the battery drain. It is very convenient for charging while off / on standby though.
It's been a few months and I finally made the purchase. Well kind of...
I bought the WootBook Ultra Y16, which seems to be pretty much the same thing as the X16, just with a Intel 14900HX instead of the 13900HX. There might be other "small" differences, like the Y16 apparently supporting power...
Update on my situation:
Finally got someone knowledge and helpful at retentions that was able to assist. He offered me quite a few options for data only, but very similar to what has been posted here (nothing special).
I then realized that I could actually do with minutes (I keep loading...
