    I've tried all of the USSD codes and options, nothing works. I've googled all of the different USSD codes and followed all possible instructions and nothing works.     I dont get why this is so difficult, this shouldn't be rocket science I am literally just trying to send and SMS from my MTN number, while in South Africa to an international number. Why is this so hard?

    Yeah same, was wondering if I was missing something or just blind. Thanks for checking. Wander if there is a USSD option for it, as it seems while the app is more comfortable and stable generally, it doesn't have all the features the USSD codes have yet.

    @Sinbad Do you perhaps know if that guide applies to SMS as well, like is barring split between SMS, Calls and Data like Roaming or does that guide for international calls cover everything? Thanks again so much for the link, I really appreciate it :)

    Yup, that's waht I've noticed, I've went to an MTN branch 4 times now and have phoned them about 7 times already. That's why it would be cool if there is a way to do it vai USSD codes or via the MTN app.

    Ah, ok cool, so do I need to go in, or just call customer care? Is there no way to do it via USSD or via the MTN app?

    Googling "how do I lift international bar cellphone MTN" only gives my info about Roaming, nothing about barring.

    So is it not possible to send an SMS from inside of South Africa to any country outside of South Africa, no matter what your roaming options are? If that is the case, what are my options?
