    [Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I'm actually a bit surprised to hear the A8H s proper 120hz - I had assumed the entire A-series was 60hz, but I guess that explains the nearly 50% higher price for H. My living room TV is a quantum dot Samsung, so I was keen to get an OLED but at R15k we're looking at LG territory, and it's...

    [Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I've recently bought the 55 inch A8G OLED on a November deal. I had previously been looking at the U7Q/U8Q models, so when the OLED came in at that price it seemed a no-brainer despite my reservations about VIDAA. I've not spent a great deal of time with the new TV, so not yet sure which...

UPS recommendation for the following wattage of usage.

Is it possible to use the IVR-1200LBK (top one on the table above) with a lithium battery, with some sort of charger module in-between? Since it's 12V, I'm thinking it's a bit tricky with 18650s (3s =11.1V & 4s = 14.8V) but not sure what the acceptable voltage input range would be before...

18650 Batteries Where to buy from

Are the Boss Vape cells geniune? The last few cells I bought from Boss Vape appear to be manufactured in 1992, based on the date code printed on the cell? I have used this tool to check -...

    Samsung Q70T

Do you need to use a specific cable or does any HDMI cable work?

    Samsung Q70T

Does anyone know how to set up HDMI arc to work correctly? I have a hisense hs212 soundbar and I can only seem to get it to work via optical. Would prefer HDMI ARC so I can control everyone from one remote.

    Samsung Q70T

Yeah Filmmaker mode for picture seems to be the optimal one for me too, although colours aren't as saturated and bright. Any of the other modes and the soap opera effect creeps in, and for sport I have noticed blur on some of the other modes as well.

Yeah, finally pulled the trigger on the Q70T. I couldn't ignore the patchy motion stuff on the hisense even thought the IQ 'pops' more than the Samsung, and as good as the Skyworth looks the complete absence of any kind of brand presence ultimately made me baulk at paying the 5k premium over the...

Consensus seems to be that the 70R is better than the newer 70T and closer to the 80T (all the samsungs moved down one model for 2020). I have been looking for a 55inch 70R without any luck.

Just spoke to the Samsung guys earlier as well. The Q80T has a bit of a stock issue at the moment but there are few units around. Considering the current deal on the 70, it's hard to justify the full-price cost of the 80.

No response on this? I was similarly impressed looking at the Skyworth yesterday but would have concerns about buying at that price point if there's no brand support presence especially considering the global dearth of reviews. The metz s9 seems to be the same unit rebranded for Germany and...

Takealot has the 55' Q8600 for R11500 - Is this still a better deal than the U8QF for R13500?

I was just about to buy 1 too. With 3k on delivery it's less of a no brainer. Also worried about what that means for returns etc. Guess it's back to deciding between the hisense Q8600, u8qf or the Skyworth OLED... ,

17k makes things really interesting Anyone got any experience with that Skyworth? I'm a bit worried about motion issues on the hisense when watching sport, but also worried about iffy software on both the hisense and Skyworth. Is the OLED worth the extra 5k over the hisense? Between the q8600...
