    On our road we have only two homes that dont have solar. Was on the roof to clear out some gutters and pretty much most homes i saw had a couple of panels on the roof. Solar prices just need to continue the downward trend and things should start to get very interesting for these old donkeys...

    Hopefully the IPPs will also show their costs, but we need to remember that prices will NEVER decrease, they will at min increase prices at the rate of inflation, but that would only happen in a perfect world. As solar uptake increases and this gap widens further and further with eskom...

When loadshedding was really bad i would take an extension cord and throw it over the wall for my neighbor to use, old tannie who needed to keep her TV on and be able to boil the kettle etc. IMO its the only way poor areas can get actual free power, excess solar generates gets...
