I do not have my Mother’s overseas banking details, not even regarding her bank account(s) here. My sister has access to all of her financial affairs. I have had to accept the situation. Unfortunately I can’t phone the bank in the UK, or I would do it.

Due to security reasons, the UK Bank would not accept emails requests for amounts to be withdrawn. The handwriting (on paper, by postal services) was part of their security verification.

As far as I know it is with UK bank, or both. Withdrawals had to be requested via a handwritten letter by my Mother, in her handwriting, with all relevant details included, such as the FNB bank account number for the deposit, and amount of withdrawal in GBP. My mother can no longer send these...
