    oh of course, that reply from them seemed like a disclaimer for just in case something happens and I hold them to their word. Octotel has now dug up my suburb, will ask them the same question.

    So, Openserve replied...any form of backup power for my modem is pointless. Time to buy some boardgames and more solar lights...or maybe a satellite phone...

    Maybe a silly question....so is the Fibre infrastructure in your neighbourhood dependant on electricity? Looking at getting a backup for my router but that will be for nothing if Openserve can't provide me with any connectivity during loadshedding.
