    You can earn interest on that money and buy a few days before release to get the pre order bonus, instead of paying 4 months ahead (yes the interest is tiny but apply it to all purchases like this and it adds up).

    I did get a refund eventually, although I spent less than R400. I posted scam warnings on all their posts and I guess they realised that R400 was not worth the loss in sales. Unfortunately at R10k you'll need to do a lot more

    But there never was 'competition'. On PS you always had to go through Sony, same with Xbox and the other consoles. The competition was between platforms, not on the platform itself.

    I would have preferred the digital only version, but it was often sold out during the first year. Why was it sold out? The disc version was $100 more expensive but the costs of adding it definitely weren't so Sony gave it preference as it was more profitable
