    Eric did all of us a huge favor and got hold of a recalled engine. His analysis plus some of the comments are spot on... Besides, if it really was leftover debris, we would have seen more damage all over the engine, especially to the camshafts and oil pump. Going to be interesting to see how...

    Eric is spot on. Older engines have a higher tolerance for abuse, but newer ones are so close to redline... All in all it was an interesting teardown though.

    No prior warning, just a "get to site X ASAP" leaving you scrambling... ...logistics se moer, this was not an emergency, it was a planned session, but somehow I was not included, and somebody else dropped the ball big-time...

    They do not make as much money from poker as from other activities, such as lotto etc... There will not be any serious incentives in shutting down this gambling issue as the money's coming in for them.

    I do gamble - but only three or four times in a month. All amounts which I've won so far is below R50 - nothing to be excited about. Still uou try your luck. But it is sad to see that people go to great lengths to get loans and overdrafts, and use these to fund their gambling addictions...
