    Like I said, not a fanboy. (not of any particular brand or OS or whatever) I use what works. If that oke can sell a three year old iPad for more than R3k, please let him call me, I could use a sales person like that.

    Must be an iApple thing then. There is so much better and more-ish available for new (as in with warranty and stuff) for less that I just don't get it. I'm just not a fanboy. I use what works at the best price/performance point. Apple (even used, apparently) doesn't fit the bill.

    I just tried that, and I see the same prices (looking at various online SA retailers), but for a new device in 2011! Unless mum has a time travel device... Looking at current, as in late 2013, prices on the same used device, shows usd100-137 to be the going rate, which sort of gets to the R1500...
