Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

Anyone experiencing issues with domestic flight booking discounts? The 20% seems to be applying to base fare only now, but T&Cs mention total ticket. Edit: seems like it is applying to only one leg of a return trip. Will just book each separately.

You should see the details on the invoice. Guessing some pro-rata amounts, but not sure as then it should be bigger discrepancy, unless line started late November.

Your wife needs to have a card linked to the account, you'll hit all the smart spend. 😇 But depending on how you work your finances, this could just be worse.

You also get the higher discount spend cap of R20k instead of R10k. For me personally, haven't found the need to upgrade from PC to PW, as making L5 would require some effort and I wouldn't earn too much more than current. Think you need to run that simulation for your current spend, see how...

The thing with mobile though, it can change overnight with a few more (4G) users, peak times can be severely congested, towers can go down, etc. Maybe if 5G towers nearby then all good. The speeds are not guarantees. I'm not clued up on fibre, and maybe I'm lucky, but my fibre line is up and at...

Ended up getting the 65" LG NanoCell, for a family member, as the QNED didn't go 40% off. Had to spend that cap, got some scraps left over still, maybe flights savings before July refresh.

Also can't see myself doing this ever. I understand some want savings, but R100-R250 savings are not worth the pain of a mobile connection vs fibre. Unless the fibre connection was crap to begin with. Edit: yeah read the next 2 posts, so that sums it up nicely. Thanks

The LG Nanocell is R13k, if that goes on eBucks 40% off that will be a great deal. The 2 already on 40% for R7199, LG and Samsung, are a bit more entry level, also good deals but I'm waiting for the above one. These might be OK for most, but I generally suggest spending a little higher on TV...

This should work just fine on 4G.

Finally a decent quote on this thread :) looks good.. I can't personally vouch for him, but have heard good things. I get the redundancy and fan-less pros on the 2x5kw, but if you're going to install far away in your garage then the fan sound doesn't really bother. The fans keep things cooler...

SS also down my side. Time was way off once upon a time, broke stats permanently. Then set not to sync, still found time a few minutes off and adjusted it. But who knows, might have set it slightly off (in frustration) in the first place.

Depends on what meter you have, mine set to 0w and all is fine. It's the wireless prepaid unit.

Personally prefer 2x5kwh. Which brand? Sometimes the max discharge rates differ. 1x10kwh has less cabling I guess. I would take the cheaper option, if all else similar.
