Switching from Sole Prop to Company

Great answer and explanation, thanks a lot, appreciate that. Out of interest, does SA have any rules on setting of owners "wages" or shareholder salaries (if you are doing the drawings approach)? Some countries require these to be set at a "reasonable" level wrt market wages. I ask because...

Switching from Sole Prop to Company

Switching from Sole Prop to Company

Thanks a lot - re: operating expenses, yes I understand / know this. My understanding with at Pty Ltd structure was that you could either: 1) declare an annual wage / salary 2) Take drawings and then declare a shareholder salary to cover these at EOFY 3) Do a combination of the above in...

Switching from Sole Prop to Company

Hi, Apart from the other usual pro's / con's of running your business as a Pty Ltd, when is it more tax efficient to operate as a Pty Ltd instead of a sole trader? Is it as simple as when your personal effective (or marginal?) tax rate exceeds the company tax rate? I've hunted around but...

Shucks - thanks a lot man, yes, that's them. Thanks for sharing / finding that. Yeah, i guess thats what it was so hard to find out what they were , but they were large enough to see above the hill line, so they couldnt hide those dishes out of practicality. So i guess the Durban Umhlanga part...

Old Radio / radar dishes on Umhlanga Ridge (1980's / 90's)

Does anyone remember / know / have any photos of the old 'radar' / telecom dishes (there used to be x2 giant ones) which used to be visible on Umhlanga Ridge in Durban? We used to visit my grandmother out that way in the 1980's / 90's and i distinctly remember seeing x2 massive parabolic dishes...
