    Different - the same process as per usual "old school" way to flash ESP8266 modules (hardware adapter required: FTDI USB-Serial). I had the Itead "SME FOCA-USB TO SERIAL ADAPTER" from Communica already. Use this as reference:

    Update: I have managed to flash Tasmota onto this Smart Plug successfully. Had to open the device up carefully and solder onto the clearly marked solder pads some wires in order to interface with the FTDI (USB to Serial) adapter - used "NodeMCU-PyFlash" tool to flash the latest "Tasmota.bin"
