    Should 2G/3G be shut down?

Kill 3G but leave a part of basic GSM alone. There's still a lot of dependency on SMS for day to day messaging, both person->machine and reverse. It's going to take many companies a lot of effort to redevelop applications that currently rely on SMS, and even then that assumes that there's a...

Petrol now between R25.66 and R26.74 per litre

So, apparently, is the Coastal 95 unleaded price. Every station around me is selling at R23.52/litre, 10c/l above the regulated price, and I'm within 3km of the refinery in CT. Is this even legal?

Here's a better idea - scrap SABC because they're bloody useless and then you don't need a TV license. Leave broadcasting to those who know how to run it as a business. Or, if you really have to have them around, simply fund them from the taxes already collected instead of letting thieves get...

What it's like to use the Huawei P40 Pro without Google Mobile Services

So, if I read this article correctly, the phone comes *without* the crap like Facebook and Twitter? These have to be added manually? I'll take two. Thanks.

The dangerous ambulances on South African roads

So, the image of the licence disk has all manner of identifying information blurred out to protect the guilty... but the barcode is left unmangled. So anyone with a barcode scanner on their phone can read that and get the all of the registration details. Smart.

    I hope the signal stays unencrypted - my no-name-brand DVB-T2 receiver/PVR/mediaplayer (R700) works just fine :)
