eHomeAffairs - getting it to work for you

Thanks! When I first did my passport years ago, they wouldn't let me do both at the same time, so now I've scheduled the booking for the ID two hours after the passport. So lets see.

eHomeAffairs - getting it to work for you

I count my lucky stars, but I just made a passport application and a smart ID application, everything worked almost flawlessly. Even managed to make the two appointments on the same day. I had to manually input the dates for an appointment though. Only issue I have is I can't find the barcoded...

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022

Sorry but what am I missing about spending them on level 5 being better? This used to work great when things like Checkers vouchers were 40% off but I haven't seen anything worthwhile on a discount in a while?

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022

I have a question about what happens to my existing eBucks if I downgrade to Easy. I've moved to Discovery Bank for various reasons. I don't want to completely close everything with FNB, just want to downgrade my premier account after the next allocation to an Easy PAYU as this has the lowest...

Question about medical aid gap cover

People have already answered this, but I want to make an additional point. People often think the savings account is a benefit given to you by the medical aid. Its not. Your savings account is funded by a portion of your monthly premium paid by you to the medical aid (for my plan with Discovery...

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022

"Have an FNB Fixed Deposit Account and/or a Savings and Investment Account(s) with a term of longer than 7 days and maintain a minimum balance of R13 500 in the account." Anyone know if this applies to the tax-free cash deposit account? It has a 30 day notice but you also get points for this...

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021

I dropped down to level 4 this month because I didn't get points for a minimum balance in a savings or investment account, despite having more than triple the maximum amount across a tax free savings account, money maximiser, and savings account. On premier. Any ideas why? Edit: I see now that...

Thanks for all the answers. Time for me to switch to premier.

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020

I know everyone wants to get back to discussing Dischem so TL;DR do you really get charged R19 per debit order on the premium account? I'm on a Gold account. Premium was never worth it because I couldn't make level 5. I've done the planning and I can now make it to level 5 on Premium, which...

Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020

This is a major disappointment. eBucks is becoming less and less attractive really. And you'd think with all the competition they would be doing the opposite. Will have to wait and see what they replace it with though. Sad.

    Credit cards explained

An update for those interested: Just got off the phone with FNB. They explained the 55 day interest free concept, which was exactly what 3WA mentioned in his link above. This is why I was charged interest: I paid off the full balance on the 25th of June My statement date ran until the 28th of...

    Virgin active membership

I've been with Virgin and Vitality for almost ten years now, and I've never paid a renewal fee. I did need to pay the vitality joining fee a second time, but this was because I cancelled my gym contract after it lapsed and then joined again a year later. If you're a consistent gym-goer then the...

    Credit cards explained

I just stared at my online banking profile for about 10 minutes looking for this, and cant find it anywhere. Might be because the balance is currently on R0?

    Credit cards explained

Again, thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry I phrased that wrong. I use the card for online purchases, but I don't use the credit account to do EFTs or ATM withdrawals. Regarding fuel, I saw on their website that it does incur immediate interest, but I'll give them a call to confirm. Thanks.
