    Best microSD for Raspberry PI

I know you specficially say SD, but is SSD's off the table? I am using one of these in my Pi4 and works great, much more resilient than a SD. https://www.takealot.com/netac-z-slim-250gb-usb3-2-type-c-aluminium-external-ssd/PLID70677172

I thought so. I have one as well hooked up to a pi in my weather station. I have often wondered if and how far you can extend it with a lan cable.

    Dont buy from pclinkshop.co.za

I bought a screen from them in early 2020 and had no problems.

Zigbee sounds like a good wat, those batteries last a very long time. I just don't know how a device (any) will cope with the moisture in the bathroom

I have 2 Xiaomi temp sensors and the one seems to lose connection every now and then, I don't have the same problem with any of my Sonoff temp sensors

At the moment I would recommend the Sonoff ZB Bridge and flashing it with Tasmota. It's been working well for me.

Once everything is working is a myth. There is always something new to add or play with.

This is one of the reasons I really love NodeRed, you can set it to ignore events as well: This is a example of switching my tv room lights on and off on movement, it can be disabled and it also will not turn the lights off if one of the 2 switches were turned on manually.

No it won't as it check's on the other device's state before it changes it
