Come from Atlantis in Cape Town (among other places). Started in Telkom as a apprentice. I went on to become a Technical Officer in Core Network Field Operations. I then had a extended tenure (+8years) in submarine cable operations and management as a specialist. I project managed the setting up of the first ever submarine NOC in Africa. Further to thisI was the Joint System Maintenance Document Coordinator for the SAT-3/WASC/SAFE system.
