Switchtel have several drawbacks... R49 /per month service fee, calls billed per 30 seconds instead of per second and they charge 15c/sec for "On Network" calls. Their local call rates are very good though at 30c/sec so they are a good option for someone who makes a lot of long landline calls. -

Definitely worth a look, especially since there is no monthly fee and you only pay for what you use. Call rates are not bad although the calls to mobiles is higher than WebAfrica's "advertised rate". -

WebAfrica advertise 45c per minute call rates which sounds great at first glance... but then take a look at how you buy your call credit... Example1: You have the option to purchase a monthly plan. Plan1 costs R109 per month and gives you 170 local minutes. This works out to approx. 63c per...
