I'm on the side of it working. Some mention about the power being 4+2 instead of the higher ( but not sure about all that). I'm pretty sure it will work no problem tho especially if there no extreme OC taking place.
So I've been doing some research online (I know very late) with regards to the B450 Tomahawk and Ryzen 7 2700x. From what I've read some say they work just great even with OC applied and others say it won't work.

I was in the same boat as you and decided / convinced to go for the MSI B450 Tomahawk instead. Was looking at that board too but decided to save some cash instead.
If you want RGB take the money saved on mobo and go for trident z RGB.
