So finally heard back from EK about my CPU waterblock that doesn't work with RGB headers on MB and was told to speak to MSI. Messaged them and they said to make sure it's 12v. All this time I thought it was as it is 4pin but after seeing this (see attached) it might be 5v so does that mean there...
Does anyone know of cheaper alternatives to Cablemod for PSU replacement cables?
I have PSU extender cables but it is way too cluttered in my case so wanting to swap the cables completely to free up space.
I have found Cablemod cables that work with my PSU on Amazon for R1700 shipped to SA...
Yeah I donwloaded latest software and did a few restarts etc. I'm wondering if there isn't an issue in bios maybe as when I connected USB adaptor to cpu RGB header and plugged into powerbank it lights up immediately.
Other issue is I can't get into bios right now as I'm waiting on more tubing...
EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB PWM -
It says it compatible with Mystic light but when I go into software all I could change was mobo RGB and ram RGB.
Maybe a stupid question but with the MSI Tomahawk do you need to enable RGB header in the BIOS? I connected the RGB from CPU block direct to RGB header on mobo and it doesn't work.
I then connected CPU block with 4pin RGB USB adapter to a powerbank a d the RGB works so that's not the problem...
As title reads does any one have any tubing I can either have / buy? Did my first water loop and went through all tubing I purchased already trying to bend and just need to fix one or two bends so I can use PC over weekend.
Please let me know.
Something else I thought of with the CPU block, GPU block and res they all have 4 pin RGB - can these be connected to commander pro and controlled through there or do they need to be connected direct to motherboard (maybe somehow daisychain them together)?
Motherboard only has 2x RGB connectors...
My heart literally stopped for a second or two when it happened. But after checking all pins are perfect and still connects properly I moved on.
Suppose will only be able to tell once I get the loop done and boot for first time if all is still working.
So decided to start putting something's together before tomorrow when I start designing the run.
This is what I have so far.
The 360 rad will go in the back right corner and the res/pump just infront of it to the right of GPU.
Then it's all about cable management and the water loop run.
